Harley Quinn is just about one of the coolest characters to ever appear in any part of the DC universe. Whether she’s on the pages of comic books, animated in a cartoon, or swinging her bat around on the big screen, we just can’t get enough of our girl Harley. But while you may think that she got her start just like any other comic character who transitioned into the movies, you’d be mistaken. Just like her character, the creation of Harley Quinn was unlike any other character who came before her, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.
There is so much amazing backstory to Harley Quinn, stretching all the way back to the first time she ever appeared in 1992. During Batman: The Animated Series, she was originally supposed to be a one-time character, and yet another one of The Joker’s lackeys. But Harley plays by her own rules, and she immediately caused quite a stir. Fans everywhere were immediately obsessed with the fantabulous Harley, as were the writers and creators of the show! The long wait for Harley Quinn’s triumphant post-Suicide Squad return is finally over. Birds Of Prey is here and it’s amazing. The film boasts wonderful visuals, flawless action sequences and another fantastic performance from Margot Robbie as the best female psycho Gotham City has to offer.

This time around she’s got a new crew. Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain form her new team, the Birds of Prey. That being said there are still references to her old superteam, the Suicide Squad.

After Justice League failed to impress at the box office, the fate of the DCEU seemed up in the air. Some fans wondered if Birds Of Prey would even connect to the universe at all. Well, now we have our answers!
